In this Privacy Policy, we, Sauce Labs, describe our collection, use and disclosure of personal information received via the following channels:
Any websites, products, services and software that Sauce Labs Inc and its subsidiaries operate and in which we post a direct link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, our “Services”); and
Face-to-face, phone, email, mail or other business interactions with users of our Services and individual representatives of our customers, vendors or other businesses interested in our products and services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to “Customer Data” as defined in the Sauce Labs Terms of Service. That is, all information, data, and other content, in any form or media, that is captured, submitted, transmitted, or otherwise processed by or on behalf of Customer via the Services, as well as the test logs, screen shots, videos and analytics reports generated for Customer in the course of Customer’s use of the Services, as may be further described in the Service-Specific Terms. We process personal information contained in Customer Data on behalf of our customers under the terms and conditions of our Sauce Labs Customer Data Processing Addendum.

If you access or use our Services or otherwise actively provide us with your personal information, you agree that we may collect, use and process your personal information as outlined in this Privacy Policy and as permitted by applicable laws. Information You Actively Submit: If you create an account with us, register for a free trial, order our Services, or contact or correspond with us for business purposes, we collect personal information about you and the company or other entity you represent, including the following:
Contact Data, which includes your name, title, username, organization, address, email address, phone number and fax number;
Account Information, which includes your Contact Data and the details of the Services you have ordered or purchased from us and any billing address and payment card details you provide to us; and

Information Passively Submitted on our Services: When you use our Services, we collect information from or about the computer, phone or other device on which you have installed or from which you access our Services, and information about your usage of our Services, including the following:
Technical Data: The Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your device to the Internet; browser type, version, and time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and platform; the phone number you used to call us if you call us.
Usage Data: The full Uniform Resource Locator (URL) clickstream to, through, and from our Services, including date and time; cookie number; Services you viewed; your searches on our Services; session information, including page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.
Publicly Available Information: If you have identified yourself to us as a user of our Services or expressed interest in our products or services, we may collect personal information about you from publicly available sources including your organization and contact information. These publicly available sources include public profiles on company and professional networking websites.
We use the following categories of personal information for the following purposes:
Contact Data to communicate with you in relation to your account.
Account Information to: (i) create an account for you or the organization for which you work; (ii) manage the account; and (iii) fulfill your orders for products and services.
Correspondence Data to respond to any specific comments or questions you may have.
Technical Data and Usage Data to: (i) provide, maintain, monitor, secure, debug, customize and optimize our Services; and (ii) develop and improve our products and services.
Publicly Available Information to supplement the other personal information we hold about you in support of our sales and marketing activities.

Compliance with Laws: To perform activities necessary to ensure compliance with applicable national, state, provincial and other applicable laws, and to respond to requests from government authorities.
Protection of Legal Interests: To protect the legal interests, health or safety of a user, us, or other third parties, such as in the event of a complaint or dispute, or to perform credit recovery procedures or credit assignments to authorized third parties.
Marketing Activities: As permitted by applicable law, including with your consent where required, we may use your contact information to provide you with marketing communications, promotional offers and updates on new products and services.
Special Events: If you register for and attend Sauce Labs events, such as SauceCon, Sauce Labs will process your personal information for the purposes of administering, securing, optimizing, and running the event, as well as improving on future events.
Merger or Sale: We may share certain personal information with certain parties in the context of actual or prospective ‘corporate events’ – for more information, see ‘To Whom Do We Disclose Your Personal Information?’ below.
We share your personal information as described below and in accordance with applicable law.
Service Providers: We employ certain of our affiliated and other unaffiliated companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, such as to send email, analyze data, provide marketing assistance, provide search results and links (including paid listings and links), process credit card payments, and provide customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.
Subsidiaries: We may share your personal information with our subsidiaries to help fulfill sales, respond appropriately to requests and to improve our and their services and business practices.
Event Sponsors: Sauce Labs works with various sponsors to hold special events such as SauceCon. If you consent and direct us to do so, we will share your personal information with these sponsors for purposes we will disclose before you provide your consent.
Parties involved in corporate events. We may disclose personal information in the context of actual or prospective business transactions (e.g., investments in Sauce Labs, financing of Sauce Labs, public stock offerings, or the sale, transfer or merger of all or part of our business, assets or shares), for example, we may need to share certain personal information with prospective counterparties and their advisers. We may also disclose your personal information to an acquirer, successor, or assignee of Sauce Labs as part of any merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, and/or in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which personal information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets.
Protection of Sauce Labs and Others: We disclose account information and other personal information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Terms of Service and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Sauce Labs, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. This does not include selling, renting, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in violation of the commitments set forth in this Privacy Policy.
With Your Consent: Other than as set out above, we will obtain your consent as required by law before disclosing your personal information to a third party.
We maintain measures intended to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. For example, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software to encrypt your personal information

Sauce Labs does not display third-party advertisements on its Services at this time.
